The STIHL BT 230 petrol-driven earth auger is ideal for drilling holes for planting in agriculture, setting posts and drainage shafts, or taking soil samples. Thanks to the standard 20 mm drill bit connection, most commercially available drill bits can be connected to the BT 230 earth auger. The earth auger’s sharp drill tips and spindles with cutting blades can efficiently penetrate even stony substrates.
The high-performance STIHL petrol engine delivers the power needed to drill holes with a diameter of up to 250 mm. The BT 230 earth auger is equipped with a manual fuel pump that makes starting easier – for example after the tool has not been used for a long time. This pumps fuel into the carburettor at the push of a button, thereby reducing the number of cord pulls needed for start-up.
The STIHL BT 230 is designed to be a one-man drill. With this in mind it has a single-handed multifunction handle which brings together all engine control functions in the right-hand grip on the handle frame. This means you keep the STIHL BT 230 earth auger firmly in your grasp at all times. Thanks to its compact handle frame, the BT 230 is easy to carry and transport.
Note: Drill bits are not included in the scope of delivery.
Note: With the optional 20 mm adapter from STIHL, the BT 230 petrol-driven earth auger is also compatible with all STIHL BT 131 drill bits.
